The Course
Sand Greens Country Club is one of the last sand-green courses in Wisconsin. Nine holes tucked into the pines of Burnett County, where every green is a hand-smoothed mixture of sand and oil — a throwback to golf’s earliest days.
The layout winds through mature northwoods forest with tight fairways and natural elevation changes. After you putt out, you drag a mat across the green to smooth it for the group behind you. It’s a tradition here, and part of the charm.
